I learned last week that the Metropolitan Museum will let you use a tripod if you arrange for a permit first. So I was able to live the dream: take great photos inside Gallery 700. The lighting there is super tricky for any handheld camera.
So it only took me about 18 visits, but I finally got some great photos of “Bacchante and Infant Faun,” an important sculpture with a fascinating history behind it.
