…Unlike them, I put the stimulus and bailout funds back into the economy instead of using them for self-recapitalization.
Which is to say: I hit an ATM on Saturday and I’m paying one of the neighbor kids to de-blizzard my driveway today.
(Adopts heroic pose. Flag unfurls behind me. Eagle swoops in majestically and perches on my shoulder. Entire tableau is tinted gold by the sun breaking from behind rapidly-dissipating storm clouds.)
Andy Ihnatko. Defender of freedom. Clearer of driveways. By proxy. With cash. Certainly the American way.
The Ihnatko compound doesn’t have snow-clearing laser turrets?
As the Boston area now resembles the planet Hoth, I’m guessing you had to empty the ATM to pay for the task.
Neighborhood kids win….
Terrorists lose
All I want is turrets with frickin’ laser beams on them.
You forgot to mention that you have also cleared the path, which will lead to more commerce and rejuvenate the economy.
Careful, that eagle might eat your hat. They’re kinda stupid. Oh yeah, and his talons will probably shred your shoulder. I’d CGI the bird if I were you.
I have my drive being cleared myself as we speak, it’s raining here in Wales and the White stuff is melting away.
Very Eco….
“Why I’m Better Than The Banking Industry”
Unfortunately, not a very lofty achievement.
” I’m paying one of the neighbor kids to de-blizzard my driveway today.”
Isn’t there an app for that?
Ahh Is this a bad time to mention it will be a balmy 29C (84F) tomorrow in Melbourne tomorrow?
@Richard – You poor man. The sledding must be terrible down there.
The non-bailout folks are keeping the economy rolling, unlike the bailed out banks that just prop themselves up. I was able to keep a contractor and his crew working for about a month and a half on projects I could have done myself. I chose to have them do it due to the time constraints my wife would have for me.
