Best Kennedy editorial cartoon of the lot

Posted on August 27, 2009 at 11:32 am

The Daily Kos has a roundup of political cartoons commenting on Ted Kennedy’s death. Lots of nice images of the Senator sailing off into the sunset, some slightly awkward and mawkish ones about being reunited with his three older brothers…and Dan Wasserman, longtime Boston Globe cartoonist, absolutely nailed it:

  1. I loved Keith Olberman’s comment last night: “Don’t screw up, Teddy’s watching you.” That should be the Senate Motto.

  2. Hey Andy,

I just instantly fell in love with this one and equally so the artistic simplicity of with this one – both cartoons are genius.

  3. Actually, I feel the second one I posted would have been better without the caption.

  4. You got it right Andy – Wasserman absolutely nailed it.

The man finished on a remarkably long ascending curve of impact, and however the governance of the post-celestial-gates neighborhood is orchestrated, it will no doubt benefit by strapping him in and getting out of the way.

  5. Andy,

I don’t know if you’ve seen this, but this is the best thing I’ve seen on the man.
