I still think my anniversary (July 5) is pretty cool… though several people were unable to attend the wedding due to Independence Day travel plans, the holiday and resulting day off make for some nice celebrating (or at least gives me a whole day to go buy a present! :-P). And this year we get a three-day weekend…

My wife and I chose April 1st for our wedding, which showed Klingon-like cunning, because if either of us forgets our anniversary we can always say “Ha ha, April Fools Day! You thought I forgot! But I totally didn’t! It was a joke!” I don’t see why this hasn’t caught on.

Well according to my Schott’s Almanac desk calendar (awesome Christmas gift from my fiancee), leap year have been associated with barren marriages, so you might want to wait until next year.

Of course it also goes on to say that tradition has it that today is the one day when a woman can propose to a man. So maybe this post might be better aimed at the ladies in the audience.

Although good luck having kids.
